FSR Students Insight into Sports Media Careers Through the Successful "Sportscasters On Deck" Program.

The 4th semester student from the Bachelor of Sports Management (Hons). successfully organized the 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑶𝒏 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒌 function on 17 December 2023, at the Sports Centre Hall, UiTM Shah Alam.

120 students from the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), SMK Seksyen 4 Kota Damansara, and other schools attended the program.

This event focuses especially on criticism of the sports industry and ideas about careers for journalists. In addition, two topics highlighted are the value of public relations as a tool for developing a career path and effective communication techniques.

Sports commentators Wan Khairil Azwa, Hafizal Hamad, Lily Hamzah, Alice Harun, and Kamal Nizam are among the distinguished group of journalists from Astro Arena that Sportcasters On Deck has brought together.

Presumably, the students who took part in the program acquired a certain level of understanding regarding the necessary career trajectory to enter the sports media industry.
